I learned this valuable information from Dan Siegel, and recently heard it talked about by many other great scientist, that if we want something in our life to change we have to challenge our belief within our capacity, PLUS just a little bit!  This needs to happen before we will ever see results of change in health patterns or behaviors.

An example of this "change" is to shift your thinking.  A larger example is shifting your trust in the western medical system's model of healing and instead taking personal responsibility by internally questioning.   Your questions may look like:
