Peanut Butter and Oats Smoothie
1/3 cup Milk (We use Almond Milk)
1/3 cup Coconut Water
2 Ripe Bananas, cut up in chunks
1 heaping Tablespoon Peanut Butter
1 full Tablespoon Chia Seeds
3 full Tablespoons Rolled Oats
1/2 cup of water, if the bananas are frozen
If the bananas are not frozen, add 1 cup of ice
Combine all ingredients together in a blender and blend to combine.
Note: Coconut water is the only “odd” ingredient here. I add it because of the minerals that are in it. It doesn’t add much to the taste. I’m always trying to get natural sugar and minerals in each meal.
(You know, i’m all about adding water, vitamins and minerals wherever I can!)
If you do not have coconut water add a handful of spinach to the blender. This also has the minerals needed to balance the meal. Sugar and minerals balanced together are so important to the brain and important for muscle growth!!
